Evolution Stone Guide

Development Stone Guide

Development Stones

In Pokémon: Let's Go, there are many Pokémon that require using a special type of stone to evolve, 18 final evolutions to be exact. For instance, you'll demand a Moon Stone to evolve a Nidorino to a Nidoking. For those of yous looking to fill your Pokédex, you'll demand to become quite a few stones of various types. They can be both tricky or expensive to get, then I'll cover which ones you demand and how to become them.

Using an Development Stone

Using an Development Stone is fairly simple, y'all just demand to:

  • Put the Pokémon you wish to evolve into your party
  • Navigate to your bag
  • Go into your "Power-Up Pocket"
  • Select the stone yous wish to employ
  • Select "Utilise this item"
  • Select the advisable Pokemon to evolve

Don't worry it won't let yous accidentally utilise a stone on the incorrect Pokémon.

Moon Stone

Getting a Moon Stone is mildly annoying, just it certainly isn't hard. Y'all're going to need 4 of them in total.

You can a Moon Stone in Mt. Moon, hidden in the craters you'll see scattered around. You won't be able to run into information technology, so just run up to a crater and meet if you tin can pick up annihilation. Your buddy should give you lot a heads upwards every bit their tail will start to shake as you become close to a hidden particular. It does periodically respawn, once every 24 hours, so yous'll need to revisit a handful of times in order to become all 4 stones required to fill upwardly your Pokédex.

It isn't entirely clear if Moon Stones take an equal run a risk to be at whatsoever crater, only I personally found 2 in ane location (see screenshot below). This location is a few ladders down from the beginning of Mt. Moon and is non directly on the normal path.

I've found a Moon Stone here twice!

I've found a Moon Rock here twice!

Moon Rock Evolutions

The Moon Stone is used to evolve four Pokémon into their concluding forms.

  • Nidorino to Nidoking
  • Nidorina to Nidoqueen
  • Clefairy to Clefable
  • Jigglypuff to Wigglypuff

Foliage, Fire, Thunder, Ice, and Water Stones

Fortunately, these stones are much easier to come past. In order to get a Leaf, Fire, Thunder, Ice, or Water Rock simply go to the behemothic department shop in Celadon City. It'southward the giant two-door, 5 story building on the west side of town shut to route 16. Take the elevator to the 4th flooring "Wiseman Gifts". Talk to the clerk on the correct side and you can buy any of the stones for v,000 Pokédollars.

Of form, you tin find various stones scattered around the game. However, at 5,000 each, the price is inexpensive plenty not to worry virtually it. It's likely the amend option to just get buy the stones rather than hunt them downward.

Foliage Stone Evolutions

The Leafage Stone is used to create iii final evolutions:

  • Gloom to Vileplume
  • Weepingbell to Victreebel
  • Exeggcute to Exeggutor

Burn down Stone Evolutions

The Fire Stone is used to create three final evolutions:

  • Eevee to Flareon
  • Vulpix to Ninetails
  • Growlithe to Arcanine

Thunder Rock Evolutions

The Thunder Rock is used to create just two last evolutions:

  • Pikachu to Raichu
  • Eevee to Jolteon

Just remember that you can't evolve your chief partner Pokémon, and volition have to employ wild-caught Eevees and Pikachus.

Ice Rock Evolutions

The Ice Rock can exist used to make two evolutions, but they are both Alolan forms, so they're not necessary for your Pokédex.

  • Alolan Vulpix to Alolan Ninetails
  • Alolan Sandshrew to Alolan Sandslash

H2o Stone Evolutions

The Water Rock tin be used to make four final evolutions:

  • Poliwhirl to Poliwrath
  • Eevee to Vaporeon
  • Shellder to Cloyster
  • Staryu to Starmie

Final Thoughts

You can pretty easily brand a lot of progress on your Pokédex and so long as you've been grabbing various types of Pokémon along the way. Many times all you lot need to do is just apply a rock on one of them and you don't even have to level it up through a 2nd evolution. In many cases, you can besides simply take hold of the 2nd evolution. Overall, a quick pit stop with some coin in the Celadon Department Store is going to be a chip footstep frontward on your collection.

The Moon Rock, on the other mitt, can be a flake annoying. It may be easier for you to notice those Pokémon in the wild to catch, trade for them, or transfer them from Pokémon Go, depending on your appetite for searching through a depression-level surface area for multiple days.

SERIOUSLY on Dec 16, 2018:
